Cascara Tea


Cascara is sometimes called Coffee Fruit Tea, but it isn't really a tea! While it is usually steeped, this delicious drink is made using the dried cherries of the coffee bean plant. Cascara is the Spanish word for the peel or skin of a fruit. An added bonus: the fruit is filled with antioxidants!

Ingredients: dried fruit and peel of coffee bean plant
Tasting Notes: Like the name Coffee Cherry Tea suggests, the drink has a refined, fruity flavor and plenty of caffeine.

Brewing Guide:
Water Temperature: 180°F
Leaf to Water Ratio: 3 tablespoons per 10 ounces
Steep Time: 4 minutes

For cold brew
Water Temperature: Room Temp
Leaf to Water Ratio: 6 tablespoons per 12 ounces of water
Steep Time: 12 to 16 hours
