Independence
Content is not commissioned or influenced by manufacturers, retailers, or any commercial party. The site does not accept payment for reviews, recommendations, or any arrangement in which editorial content is exchanged for commercial consideration.
Review samples
The site accepts review samples from manufacturers and retailers. Receipt of a sample is noted at the foot of the relevant article: “A review sample of this product was provided by the manufacturer.” Products purchased or sourced independently carry no such note.
Sending a sample does not guarantee coverage. It does not guarantee a positive review. It does not give the sender any right to see or approve content before publication.
Testing methodology
Equipment reviewed on this site has been used directly. Grinders are tested across multiple grind settings with consistent beans. Brewers are tested across different coffee types, roast levels, and water temperatures where relevant. Reviews note the conditions under which testing was conducted.
Where a claim in a review is drawn from manufacturer data rather than direct testing, this is stated clearly.
Accuracy
Reviews aim to be accurate on verifiable facts including specifications, UK retail pricing at time of publication, and technical claims. Critical and interpretive assessments are the opinion of the named writer.
Pricing changes after publication. Always verify current pricing directly with the retailer before purchasing.
If you believe a factual error has been published, contact the editorial team via the contact page. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly with a correction note added to the article.
Contributors
Every article carries the name of the person who wrote it. Unsigned content is not published.
